Activating Attrac on Your Shopify Theme

To use Attrac and create campaigns on your store, you need to enable the Attrac App Embed on your theme.

In this guide, you’ll understand what app embeds are and why you need them, we’ll also guide you through the steps to enable Attrac’s app embed on your theme.

What are app embeds and why do I need them?

App embeds are a way for Shopify apps to insert visual elements into your theme without actually modifying the theme's code.

After a Shopify app is installed, its app embed is disabled by default. To use the app, you need to manually enable and save the app embed in your theme.

How to activate Attrac’s app embed?

If the Attrac App Embed is inactive when you open Attrac, a notification will appear, prompting you to enable it on your theme. Click the 'Enable' button. This will redirect you to your theme's app embed section. To activate it, simply click the 'Save' button in the theme editor.

Alternatively, to activate the Attrac App Embed directly from the theme editor, follow these steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Online Store > Themes.

2. Find your current theme, and then click Customize.

3. Click the App Embeds tab.

4. Select Attrac app embed.

5. Beside Attrac’s app embed, click the toggle to activate it.

6. Click Save to save your changes.

How to enable Attrac on an unpublished theme?

If you want to use Attrac on an unpublished theme, follow the same steps as above for any theme in your Themes section. However, click the 'Customize' button for the theme on which you want to activate Attrac.

Note: If you activate Attrac on a theme other than the current theme, Attrac will continue to show a notification that Attrac is inactive.

Can I enable Attrac on multiple themes?

Yes, you can activate Attrac on as many themes as you want. However, all of them will display the same campaigns.
